Starting the city tour from your hotel(in general in the historical
center of Rome or close),
we can drive to see the Palatine hill and the Circus Maximum.(stop
for illustrating and pictures).

The Palatine was the residence of the Emperors
is the most pleasant of Rome's ancient sites.
Inside is the house of Augustus and part of
a palace by Domitian.

After this we stop to illustrate
the Colosseum and I will give you the rigth time to go in to

Colosseum is a roman amphitheatre commissioned by Emperor Vespasian.
It was buil from the 72 to the 80 a.c..
Gladiators combats and wild animal fights were staged by Emperors.The colosseum could hold up to 55.000 spectators.

Next step will be the Pantheon(an original roman temple 2000

The Pantheon was a temple to all the gods and is one of the best preserved monuments of Rome.It was built in the 1st century b.c. and was restored by Hadrian Emperors in the 2th century a.c.

After this, we will stop at the Trevi fountain when visiting, you can throw the famous coin in the fountain.
Close at the Trevi fountain are the Spanish steps.

Nicola Salvi designed the most famous and big fountain of Rome in the 1762.The central figure is Neptune.The water come from the virgin-water aqueduct built by Augustus.

On the way to go to the San peter basilica in Vatican(stop for
visiting),we will pass in front at the wedding cake(Vittoriano). |
The San Peter basilica draws pilgrims from all over the world.Are inside lots of precius works of art like Michelangelo's pietà and beautiful scolptures and mosaics.The old basilica was built by Constantine in the 4th century a.c.
Other artists rebuilt it late.

Driving to the catacumbs you can
visit the ancient cristians thumbs having a great emotion:underground
tunnels,
ancients cristians simbolism.

can see the ancient appian way and and the ancient roman city
walls.
The road sas built by Appio Claudius in the 321 b.c. and after more 400 yrs it was extended to the ports of Taranto and Brindisi. |

we will
see the Mouth of the truth.
